  Fatigue assessed by a visual analogue scale was greatest after dialysis and lower before intradialytic exercise, and arrhythmias were also more frequent post-dialysis. Because post-dialysis and intradialytic rehabilitation were performed at different postoperative stages, these findings should not be interpreted as evidence that intradialytic exercise itself reduced fatigue. Rather, in this case, lower pre-exercise fatigue during dialysis may have made rehabilitation more feasible on dialysis days. Intradialytic exercise may therefore be a practical option for patients who have difficulty initiating rehabilitation after dialysis
