■ 標題 Inpatient physical therapy and changes in physical function in an older patient with acute-phase IgA nephropathy: a case report with literature review |

■ 概要 Importantly, the present case highlights aspects that have not been addressed in previous reports. Most prior studies involved younger or middle-aged patients with nephrotic syndrome or other glomerular diseases, whereas this case involved a very elderly female patient with acute-phase IgA nephropathy. Furthermore, rehabilitation was implemented immediately after the initiation of high-dose prednisolone therapy, a timing rarely examined in the literature. These features distinguish this case from previous studies and underscore its novelty, demonstrating that moderate-intensity exercise therapy can be safely applied even in very old patients with acute-phase IgA nephropathy.
